Livio Santoro was born in Spoleto in 1981 and grew up in Naples. He is based in Turin and holds a PhD in Sociology and Social Research. Alongside his work as an author, he translates literature from Spanish into Italian, with a particular focus on Latin American writing.

He has published several short-story collections and one novel. His fiction moves between weird fiction, speculative storytelling and literary realism, combining social observation with imagination, humour and philosophical inquiry.
